The Best Thing I Saw in New Orleans this Weekend

Published by thegreenninja at 6:33 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

I had an amazing trip to New Orleans last weekend for my birthday.  I am happy to say that I turned 36.  We ate good food, drank and sang in the Piano Bar at Pat O’Briens and, of course, went to the strip club.

The next morning was Cafe du Monde and the French Market.  I struck gold at the French Market this trip. I even found a cake topper for the wedding.  However, the best thing that I saw the whole weekend was this basket full of Obama pan flutes.  I don’t know why in the world I opted to take a photo of these instead of buying one.

I’ll chalk that one up to having a serious sort of hangover.  Oh well, if any of you are travelling down to NO any time soon, pick one of these up for me.

So did you get any pictures of the street entertainers? If you did I would love to see them since I used to be one. thanks. You could just e-mail them to me if you want. Nice blog and enjoyed your take on New Orleans. Seems liek you did some of the things there you will have to go back to see more. You just touched the surface you know. Much Love.

This was one of many visits to New Orleans…I love going there and since I live in north Louisiana is not that much of a drive. I used to take photos of street performers all the time, but have not done much of that lately. I saw some amazing ones this time, though…a guy on the guitar and a lady playing violin that were awesome!
